Camping in Conconully

Happy Fall everyone!!! We've updated the blog, I hope you enjoy our new background!  Here is some catch up from over the summer.

We went to Conconully, WA to go camping in August during Scott's birthday.  I know some of you are thinking, "Whhhhaaaaa??!?!? Scott camping? but it's true! and he loved it!!  We had a great little campsite that we shared with my parents, Jason and Gabriel.  We even got to use the tent that I snuck on our wedding registry!  Here are some pictures of our campgroud.

Here I am showing off the awesome fire I built to cook our dinner.  Scott was quite nervous about me using an ax and a hatchet and playing with fire all at the same time, but I'm an old pro and burning stuff is second nature to me at this point in my life.

We found a couple little baby Garter snakes living in a tree while Mom and I were playing Whiffle Golf.  We had to go round up the troops and show them our awesome find.  Of course now that I'm back at home in civilization I can't believe I got so close to a snake! EEWWWWWW! haha

We didn't do a lot of mountain biking while we were there, just one trail mostly. But that one trail had deer and wild turkeys so it was pretty fun to bike through it and see the nature.  Most of the terrain was for 4-wheelers and dirt bikes.  Everyone in town had 4 wheelers and would ride them on the streets since it wasn't really a big enough place to justify getting in your car and driving somewhere.  Probably the most exciting thing that happened during our trip was Gabriel learning how to ride his bike. I'll post that video later cause it's not working now.

Scott says this picture reminds him of Pocahantas.  haha I guess I do have my hair in braids and I'm wearing the shirt I earned doing the Stillaguamish River 5k Run which has Indian artwork on it and I'm making fire. So, yeah I'm like the new and improved kick butt Pocahantas. We had such a fun weekend!!! I was so nervous for Scott to have a good time and I was so glad that everything turned out perfect!!!!  I can't wait to do it again!!! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us tag along on your camping trip!!!
